Studying a BA (Hons) Product Design course at Nottingham Trent University has brought me a step closer to becoming a creative designer; exploring existing and emerging technologies to become the next generation of innovators.
I believe I hold the skills essential to enter the design industry, in particular learning to appreciate the identification of a problem and clarifying the need, performing analysis, research, development, evaluation and subsequently on to the further development of a design project.
I am a mature, confident self-motivated and dependable person who possesses the ability to work independently or within a team. I am a decision-maker and have good communication skills which enable me to clearly define and express ideas. My passion for design is constantly expanding through a deeper understanding and exploration of the subject and I am excited to continue improving my skills.

Panda Mood Light by ‘Lekki’
This stand-alone children’s mood light would fit comfortable in any child’s bedroom. With a multi coloured LED bulb, you can choose what colour you want, creating the soothing desired effect needed.
Having been 3D printed, the product is made up of one component which is hollow inside. This allows for all wiring to be inside, as well as making the product lightweight. Other health and safety factors were considered, including size and heat emission from the exposed bulb.
The E14 Small Edison Screw bulb is not only energy saving but also does not emit enough heat from the bulb to cause any harm – a massive factor within the children’s market. The LED Light bulb also has a choice of 16 colours that can be dimmed to change the brightness; making this product ideal for any child aged above 8 years old.
