From an early age design has always been an interest of mine. Studying furniture and product design has allowed me to develop my skills and further my knowledge. Final year has stimulated my interest in CAD modelling and product visualisation, which I hope to pursue in the future.

How people perceive the value of objects is unique to everyone.
This project was aimed for people to show off items of value by providing a platform in which the can showcase personal belongings, such as books, photographs, or decorative pieces, by doing so the table can become more meaningful and personalized to the user, making it a valuable addition to their living space. This type of coffee table can also facilitate conversations and storytelling, creating a more meaningful and engaging social environment.
Ash salt and Pepper Grinders
Sir Terence Conran was a lover of good food and dining and throughout his long career in design and as a restaurateur, owned many venues in the country. When dining, other than utensils and crockery, salt and pepper are considered two essential condiments that are often found on dining tables around the world.
Within the Ash body the salt and pepper grinders have a ceramic mechanism that allows for precise grinding and easy adjustment of the coarseness. The aluminium ring serves as an indicator of the type of seasoning inside the grinder, making it easy to differentiate between salt and pepper. As well as this, these grinders are easy to use and to stop unwanted debris causing a mess on one's dinner table, the grinders can be placed in their accompanying tray. Additionally, with a focus on reusability, the grinders have been designed in a way that the adjustable knob and top portion of the body can be removed to allow for an easy refill.
