Separation anxiety was one of the biggest hurdles I faced with my dogs and one that many others have also. I designed a scented dog bed as I discovered through primary and secondary research that dogs love the scent of their owners. I also wanted the product to be a safe space for the dogs, so I designed a bed as that is something they already associate with safety. During the project I decided to go with a user centred design by getting constant feedback from owners and dog behaviour specialists, via surveys and interviews, this ensured that the product I designed would meet their needs and better solve the problem at hand.
