Odyssey Luggage - Collapsible Hard shell Suitcases
After having trouble storing my bulky suitcase in my University room and at home, I thought there had to be a more convenient solution. Brief research only found collapsible suitcases that where soft sided. More rigorous research still didn't yield any suitable products that would collapse completely. This inspired the project and highlighted just how little innovation there had been in the suitcase industry over the past few decades. The suitcases come in two sizes, both the hold and carry on versions. The target user is a young professional who may not have much storage space in their home environment, or anyone who wants a practical yet minimalistic suitcase.
Foci - Smart Desk Lamp
Foci was designed to create a more healthy work-life balance. The recent increase in hybrid working has led to people struggling to disconnect from work, subsequently impacting on their family and social time. The design was inspired by modern desk lamps, utilising the contrast between machined metal and the natural grain of ash. The use of slim proportions help to create a product that does not overpower existing home environments, and when not in use, can blend into the background. This helps disconnect the user from their workday once they are finished.
