As a detail-oriented designer, I'm passionate about working hands-on, mainly with timber, to create functional and visually appealing designs. I find myself designing space-saving multifunctional products and have a keen interest in designing for mental health. My aim is to work for an ethical furniture company where I can combine my design and making skills.
Ruhe
Ruhe is a lounge chair designed to provide users with a space to unwind and disconnect from a fast-paced society. The chair encourages self-care activities such as reading, meditating, and spending time with loved ones and pets, promoting a positive mental state and a better work-life balance. Inspired by the Danish concept of Hygge, the chair's warm and neutral colours promote a sense of calmness, and its oversized and unique shape offers a modern take on the wingback chair. Unlike traditional furniture, Ruhe is designed to allow users to feel comfortable in any position without being forced into a specific posture. It provides a range of reclining options, enabling users to find their most comfortable position and promoting different levels of relaxation. The chair is intended to be a dedicated space for users to improve their mental health and encourage relaxation and self-care. The armrest can serve as a footrest or a surface for a book and cup of tea, further enhancing the user's relaxation experience. The cosy and warm design of the chair is intended to enhance the user's sense of calmness and tranquillity. With Ruhe, users have a comfortable and inviting space to unwind, reflect, and rejuvenate.
Terra Tableware
The Terra collection is a unique and versatile tableware collection crafted from timber, designed to enhance social dining experiences while serving as a stunning centrepiece for your dining table. Inspired by topographic contour maps from various locations, the collection features functional and decorative pieces that seamlessly blend into any dining setting.
Users can add a personal touch to the collection by incorporating maps of their own special places, creating a thoughtful gift or keepsake that commemorates significant moments or locations in their life. With its distinctive design and meaningful customisation, Terra is more than just tableware - it is a reflection of the users personal story and a celebration of shared meals and memories.
