BA Product Design

I have an eye for creating beautiful products that seamlessly combine form and function through mediums like sheet metal and acoustic design. I ensure that every product I create is not only visually stunning but also creates a more hands-on user experience.

BeBass

There's a 5 times smaller pool of bass players compared to 6 string guitar players. I offer a solution aiming to change these statistics by creating a new experience.

The BeBass modular bass is designed for musicians who want to personalise their instrument to match their unique style. With its modular design, you can easily swap out various components to change its appearance, making it the ultimate customisable bass guitar.

Additionally, BeBass is incredibly versatile and convenient thanks to its ability to be easily disassembled, reducing its footprint for storage and transportation. This also means that musicians can quickly modify the instrument to suit their changing needs.

When purchasing instruments, usually the first thing considered is the appearance. BeBass' beautiful form is composed of acoustic hardwoods like maple and ash complemented by subtle sheet metal facades.

BeBass offers vast potential for personalisation, creativity and identity. I've designed this bass to offer a more immersive and hands-on playing experience, where the user-oriented modification narrative could encourage more people to take up the instrument.

Outcry

Outcry' offers a beautiful timeless solution to the home oriented portable speaker market. It's ergonomic form complements its portability, while the resonant maple body complements the audio quality. Outcry is easily disassembled to help with maintenance and product longevity, giving the customers control. The product comes in a variety of finishes to suit any style, creating a sound environment which is ideal for the home.

The portable speaker industry lacks material experimentation; featuring lots of black plastic. Whilst sheet metal offers a beautiful timeless appearance, it has been utilised minimally in the speaker market. I used a neutral anodised aluminium finish and organic cotton upholstered body, inspired by existing homeware products to deliver the warm look.
