Custom Lugged Mountain Bikes
Joe Breeze hand-built the first modern mountain bike in 1977 and since then, a lot has changed. Frame materials, sizes, components, and disciplines have all altered and changed the course of mountain biking as a sport. Part of the objective of this project was to bring back some of the heritage of the beginnings of mountain biking and envision how Joe Breeze would see the modern mountain bike. Using traditional lugged constructions, the design of these frames is a tribute to the past but benefits from advancements in additive manufacturing that create lighter and stiffer parts with unrivalled customizable geometries.
