BA Furniture & Product Design

I stay very close to my personal value of purposeful design, which heavily influences my final products. My main inspiration is colour and highlighting its beauty through different interactions. I aim to create designs that seek to highlight the small details in simple but elegant solutions.

Inspired by how colours in the colour wheel interact and overlap, Chroma is a set of coloured glass topped tables which allow the user to explore their own love of colour. These accent tables come in a range of colour combinations meaning the users can choose their own preferred colours to mix and match.

The tables are made from coloured glass and white ash legs which were chosen to be light and best reflect the coloured refractions of the glass on top.

The curved nature of the tables means that they create a visual centre piece for open, classy and minimalist spaces. Chroma consists of a central curved tabled and two taller segmented tables that overlap the arc to create a multi layered effect.

Glow is a family of stackable lights designed to promote a feeling of togetherness within the home. They can be used individually but are ultimately housed together in one place. Through the use of magnetic physical contact charging, each unit is powered and charged wirelessly with an estimated usage time of up to four hours each. Compact and refined, the light creates a personalised lighting experience for each user by allowing them to decide how many lights are on at each time.
The aim of this project was to create a comforting and relaxing environment for a family to spend time inside and enjoy each other's company with bespoke mood lighting. The exterior is made from a mix of veneered and solid Ash with a frosted glass diffuser to create the signature glow effect. Whether used together or individually, Glow provides the user with a stylish and portable light for any occasion.
