BA Product Design
As a creative designer, I am passionate about making practical products and re-inforcing them high-quality visuals. I believe design is all about being inquisitive and learning about the product's story. My design journey has been driven by a concentration on details and aesthetics, which has allowed me to explore various chances to grow my design expertise.
inclu_ colour mixing tray
Between 62% and 90% of the assessment is based entirely on colour, and 3 million people in the UK are colour-blind and perceive colour differently. The product idea was inspired by the lack of focus on being an inclusive product.
inclu is a detachable colour mixing tray that can be held in the hand or placed on the table to fit different painters' experience styles. The label serves as a guide for colour-blind people to recall the colour of the paint while also encouraging them to use the colour theory method to explore colour. By dividing the mixing area and tray space, it creates an enclosed room for keeping the pigment in good condition while also making it easy to carry it around to different locations.
Human-centred design is the primary design method that follows product creation. Throughout the testing process and evaluation of each stage, the design effectively improves people's painting experience and enjoyment of the world of colour while painting.
Echo_ Modern retro table lamp
Modern retro style has become increasingly popular in recent years, and lighting is the most powerful product for bringing out the primary character in a house, which is why I chose this project to showcase an innovative idea.
The warm 60s main colour and leather texture evoke the nostalgic feeling that drove the entire project. The shape and interaction feature of the table lamp design contribute to its aesthetic. By adjusting the height of the shade, different levels of brightness can be achieved.
The main demographic and market trend study served as the project's starting point throughout the design process. When brainstorming ideas, primary research helped to gain a firm understanding of the target market. The light shade is designed to be movable in order to engage with the consumer and adjust to the ideal brightness for them. Finally, the matte-finish aluminium in a warm harvest pumpkin colour completes the project perfectly.
