New Tent for Scouting
The inspiration for this project came from my first-hand experience as a Scout leader, going camping and seeing the issues that young people and adults have throughout the whole process of storing, using and caring for tents. Taking the approach of designing for the circular economy, I wanted to tackle the problem of young people breaking tents due to complex pitching processes and hard to understand instructions and improve the repairability of tents by providing clear information and resources to leaders to carry out repairs to prevent tents from being disposed of. The new tent for Scouting is in keeping with the Scouts' branding and is available in 2, 3, & 4 person sizes, and styled for each of the Scouting sections.
Curve
Curve' is a high-end, portable Bluetooth speaker for use around the home. Designed for easier repair and disassembly to enable greater product longevity. If current rates continue, by the 2030's across the globe, consumers will be discarding over 100 million tonnes of electronic devices per year. Curve tackles this problem, by offering the high-end consumer a more repairable, sustainable and longer-lasting option. Curve's design is both modern and contemporary with class-leading sound quality. Following the step-by-step instruction provided, Curve can be fully disassembled using simple hand tools, allowing for spares to be fitted and repairs to be made at home easily.
