BA Product Design
Starting each design process is extremely exciting. I love that each product begins with a single idea and that the possibilities are endless. Exploring materials, colours, and textures are my favourite aspects of the journey. I also love to incorporate my hobbies to create exciting, colorful and functional designs.
Concube
Looking at all the waste from a recent house renovation made me wonder if there was a way to reuse materials such as concrete and plasterboards and re-introduce them into the home in another form. Thus the Concube was born. The challenge was making a 'new' material entirely from recycled concrete and gypsum. The Concube can be stacked to create a shelving unit or a side table enabling consumers to adjust the cubes to their needs within the home. The idea of Concube was to show that concrete can be used in the home and can be aesthetically pleasing.
Colour Pop
Designed for a British Furniture company, the "Colour Pop Lamp" the Colour Pop lamp has been designed to double up as a decoration, as well as being a lamp that takes up less room. Colour Pop enhances the warm, golden, glow lighting in the home. Even when turned off, the personalised, dimmable lighting can create any atmosphere and boost the aesthetic. The use of ceramics presents a luxurious look, with the transparent top to provide a 360 degree glow.
