I hope to bring my dedication and passion for design to any projects I undertake. I design with the aim that my products will help people; improving their day-to-day lives, as a way to express creativity and to create problem-solving solutions. Designing with the user and collaboratively with peers are the steps taken in order to achieve these aims.
Oto
Oto is an interactive toy robot designed to help children aged 6 to 11 prepare for hearing tests by reducing anxiety and building familiarity with the process. Children insert one of ten NFC-enabled cards into Oto, triggering corresponding sounds through an internal speaker. These sounds vary in frequency and volume, such as birds chirping or a plane taking off, simulating elements of a real hearing test. When a sound is heard, the child selects the matching image on a digital screen, as well as colour in the image in the booklet provided with Oto. The coloured in icon in both the booklet and on the screen highlight that the child has heard the sound. Oto is not a diagnostic tool but serves as a non-clinical, confidence-building, at home practice before a formal audiology test in a hospital environment.
Half The Story Pop Up Experience
Step into an interactive pop-up installation where hanging elements in
diverse materials invite members of the public to engage, explore, and
uncover stories. The design showcases Half the Story's mission and values
while celebrating the voices and experiences of its employees.
Members of the public are encouraged to touch, move, and interact with the elements, which may not make sense on initial interaction with the cube but through immersing themselves, hidden details are revealed. Various materials such as acoustic felt, thermochromic paint and fabrics encourage the public to touch and interact.
