Modular dog bed (Barcworks)

My modular dog bed called the "fold" bed is made to reduce the expandability commonly seen in the dog bed market. Owners often replace beds throughout their dog's life due to them being worn out or getting damaged and smelling unpleasant. My aim with this project was to make something that could last your dog's lifetime.

Dogs are polyphasic sleepers meaning they sleep in short bursts at a time and often nap throughout the day, The average adult dog will sleep between 12 and 14 hours a day and this showed me that there is a clear bond between a dog and where they sleep as this is where they'll feel most comfortable and safe.

Knowing this I wanted to create a product they could have which can change with them as they go through life and become their home within their home, the 'Fold' bed is a Modular and customisable dog bed which allows the owner to choose a size for the base and length of feet depending on needs and spec finishes and edge trims as well as selecting cushion materials and colours, all of these parts are replaceable and switchable if needed and could be bought separately.
