Hi, I'm Princess Nnene, a final-year BSc Product Design student with a passion for helping others and a constant curiosity to learn. What makes me unique as a designer is how I bring others into my creative journey and how I display and share my thought process and concept development. I love creating alternative concepts and ideas as it's easy to redesign what's been done many times, but I aim to create designs that feel unfamiliar and full of possibility.
Woven
Woven is a dynamic app created to help young people form meaningful, faith-based friendships. Designed with connection in mind, Woven offers engaging features that let users meet others who share their values, join in faith-filled activities, and grow together spiritually.
From Bible studies and worship nights to service projects and social hangouts, Woven makes it easy to find and join local events. The app also helps users discover nearby churches, which encourages the user to join a supportive, local community.
Hanoi
The Hanoi Lamp is a table lamp designed to bring a sense of calm to your living room or bedroom by offering soft, ambient lighting that creates the perfect relaxing atmosphere.
Whether you prefer a soft, ambient glow or a focused, directional light, the Hanoi Lamp adapts to your needs and style. The glass inserts in the lamp, the wood type, and the material of the metal spacers that separate each wooden layer can be customised online, enabling users to select the exact look they want for their lamp.
Research has shown that various factors, including green spaces, housing quality, thermal comfort, and lighting comfort, can significantly impact the mental health of residents. By allowing users to personalise their lighting, the Hanoi Lamp helps create a sense of ease and relaxation and control over their space, even in homes where other aspects of the environment might not meet the user's preferences. This lamp isn't just a functional object; it's a canvas for your creativity and encourages the user to make their space feel like their own.
