As a designer I have a passion for creating products that are functional yet aesthetically pleasing with an overall aim to bring joy. I like to focus on getting the details right by exploring materials, textures, and colours and hope to encourage connections between products and consumers.
Re:knitted
Redefining and rethinking the craft of knitting. Born from the constant stereotyping of knitting being a hobby only for old women. Re:knitted is about redefining and rethinking who can knit and what can be created with the aim of encouraging more people to see knitting as a craft. To do this a series of simple, statement vases were created.
The collection is about connecting modern design with traditional crafts to create contemporary and timeless design pieces that people want to hold on to for years to come. They are crafted using local, sustainable materials and hand finished with time and care.
Hybrid
With the rise in hybrid working, many companies have introduced hot desking policies. With no assigned desk space to keep equipment, lockers have been provided. However, many do not fit all the equipment needed and become a tangle of wires. Employees are also wasting up to 18 minutes a day setting up their desks. Hybrid is a locker system designed to make it easier to store and carry work equipment around the office and on the commute. The lockers include removable bags that can be placed underneath desks to become a drawer, whist the backpack makes it easy to carry everything on the commute.
