VARA
Having had a spinal fusion for scoliosis back in 2017, this encouraged me to design solutions for others like me. The Vara chair was created so you could relax in social settings, with the two pairs of arms made to encourage the user to have good posture, allowing them to stretch their back out using the top ones, and relax their body using the lower ones. Additionally the movable semi-circle cushion allows the user to either put it behind their back or neck depending on what they need.
CALA
The house plant industry boomed during the pandemic and numerous lockdowns, with a growing need for plants to accessorise the home and improve mental health. The CALA light was a live brief working alongside Green Rooms. The grow light and accompanying tables allow the customer to have a variety of sizes of plants under the light, allowing enthusiasts to make the most of the space they have. The holes in the table allow plants to be hung under as well as placed on top, creating a layered utopia of plants in the home.
