BSc (Hons) Product Design
George Nicklin
Enthusiastic product designer with over a year’s work experience in product prototyping and graphic design. Specialising in SolidWorks and 3D modelling, my aim is to put my skills into practice during future projects, demonstrating the key design stages required to make a product from scratch.
DISTRICT 3D
A 3D printed learning resource for Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 design students. Over the last 20 years the number of students taking up design has decreased dramatically from 429,000 students in 2007 to just 150,000 in 2014. DISTRICT 3D makes use of 3D printing to enable students to learn interactively, improving their problem solving abilities and practical thinking. Its aim is to improve the quality of teaching and inspire young students to design and make their own 3D printed projects that can be added to the collaborative space.
