BA (Hons) Product Design
Being a creative for me has always been about problem solving. Whether that is a simple product that declutters and elevates a space or a service that supports small businesses, the goal is the same. Ask questions, design viable solutions.
Chair is a digital, social booking platform. Targeted at a young generation of service users and service providers, Chair builds an online community that nurtures the relationship between businesses and their clients. With several unique features, Chair makes identifying skilled professionals straightforward and hassle-free. For service providers who operate from home, it is a hub to increase their visibility, highlight their skills and grow their businesses. For service users, finding and supporting small businesses in the personal care industry is made more convenient. Target user feedback corroborated the demand of the service. One service provider noted Chair is "very detailed and stops a lot of customer confusion" and another stated "it is user friendly...and very helpful". Service users also expressed overwhelmingly positive feedback with some adding "it's easy to navigate", "Clear and professional" and a "brilliant idea". The digital service is supported by a physical pack that enhances the service users online-to-offline, making it easier to spot a service provider's home. This omni-channel strategy also works to turn offline audiences into online Chair customers.
