Tangent
Shoes can be made from up to 40 individual parts and several different materials that make them near impossible to recycle and repair. Whilst considerable improvements have been made in the fashion industry concerning sustainability, the shoe industry falls short.
Tangent is a modular shoe that can be entirely deconstructed, repaired, and updated by the consumer at home. Tangent promotes the concept of circular design, emphasising repair over re-purchase, paving the way for a more sustainable future in the footwear industry.
The Quirky Crop
The Quirky Crop is a three-part system (a bag, app and service) that increases accessibility to fresh produce by connecting consumers directly to farmers in their local area. Consumers are encouraged to support local businesses and eat seasonally to reduce food waste.
