I am a designer-maker trained in cabinetry before university, which is a big driver behind my designs and goals. When I design, I enjoy creating functional, simple products. I intend to carry on both designing and making side by side.
Radiance
Radiance is a side table to help create a relaxing atmosphere after a long day or week. It is designed to illuminate the room without being intrusive on your cosy evening. LEDs are built into the table with natural, cool, and warm white light to choose from, so you can control your atmosphere. Also, the LEDs are dimmable, so you can settle into the weekend. The steam-bent framework will be the centre piece of your living room, made from ash, the large swooping bends come together to create a functioning table that holds itself together with joints that are designed to hold the bends in place so that in 20 years you will have the same table you left with. Radiance has also been designed with an elegant trio of tables including The Kage coffee table and The Serpentine console table.
unbalanceD
unbalanceD is a unique tray to carry wine, cheese and cold meats. It is designed to be used at gatherings or just with your significant other. It includes everyone at the table and can be left as a centre piece for your table. unbalanceD features a contrasting ash and walnut construction with the ash being used for the main plate and the wine bottle support and the walnut for the frame and foot. The frame is angled to give the effect that it isn’t flat, inspired by the Crooked House pub and its illusions. Also, the wine bottle support is angled at the same angle as the Crooked House (15 degrees). This makes it look like the support is leaning against the bottles when in use. It is capable to bring 2 bottles out at a time allowing for different guests preferences. The support is removable by pulling the wedge at the back to lay it down for easy storage and cleaning.
