I am passionate about my imprint on the environment and the mark my products will leave behind. Longevity and function are the primary aspects I try to incorporate into my designs. I enjoy combining both my CAD and practical skills to help me to test, develop and finalise designs.
KD clothing rail
This clothing rail was designed for small homes and renters, prioritising storage space and ease of manoeuvrability, which are often lacking in small homes. It features storage space on top of the clothing rail and hanging space behind the drawers for limited-wear clothes, such as formal wear and seasonal items, keeping them out of sight, but still within reach and preserved. Additionally, the clothing rail is designed to assist users when they move homes; it can be easily disassembled for transport and then reassembled in the new environment. Assembly and disassembly are simplified as the design comes in pre-assembled parts, reducing the amount of construction required by the user. To ensure affordability and sustainability amid the cost-of-living crisis, a price limit of £120 was set for the product.
Steel Seating
Crafted with adjustable seating components, this bench offers customisable arrangements, complemented by its elegant curved design that forms a winding pattern when multiple benches are aligned. Drawing inspiration from the tram and train rails of Leeds Steelworks in the late 1800s and early 1900s, it seamlessly blends heritage with modern functionality. Constructed from recyclable steel, it ensures sustainability by enabling material reuse at the end of its lifecycle. This product aims to promote the use of 'Green Steel', reflecting a commitment to environmentally-friendly production methods and the preservation of our industrial heritage.
