Steep
Steep represents a reimagining of the traditional kettle, crafted with premium materials such as Stainless Steel and American White Oak, elevating both aesthetics and functionality. Inspired by tea drinkers around the world, it's meticulously engineered to enhance the tea-making experience.
Steep offers precise temperature control, catering to the diverse brewing requirements of different tea varieties. Users can effortlessly navigate its intuitive interface to select their preferred water quantity, which is then injected into the boiling chamber. This intelligent design not only streamlines the brewing process but also minimises energy consumption by boiling only the necessary amount of water.
To complement the kettle, Steep includes vacuum-insulated and ceramic-coated Stainless Steel mugs. These accessories maintain optimal temperature, preserving the nuanced flavors of brewed tea while ensuring maximum efficiency.
From its thoughtfully selected materials to its user-centric design, Steep is a testament to the intersection of artistry and utility. Offering tea enthusiasts a premium experience that harmonises with their passion for the perfect cup.
RM14
The inspiration behind the design came from my interest in how light affects our bodies, and how in turn we interact with light. Different wavelengths of light change how our bodies function, and I wanted to create something that would give the user an opportunity to control this. There are openings in the side that allow access to operate the lamp. Pulling the counterweight down causes the light to move upwards, changing the hue and brightness of the light being produced to a more intense, whiter light. Doing the opposite brings the light downwards, resulting in a subtle, warmer tone. By using motion in the design, the product becomes almost sculptural and the user becomes an active participant in the piece. The RM14 lamp is the perfect blend of function and form in a physical product.
