Integrating user experiences to fun and playful outputs that enhances human connections has been one of my goals as a designer. Working in the packaging industry for my placement year has taught me the restrictions of manufacturing but also how intricate detailing can make a world of difference to consumers. This knowledge blended with my aim to find excitement within the mundane forms the core of my design process. I hope to make the world more fun one product at a time.

This project focuses on the importance of taking breaks to alleviate academic-related stress by creating a fun and engaging ball game within the university environment. Aim-it promotes break-taking by being visually dominant with the use of colour and material, hence creating curiosity. The satisfaction of scoring, along with the numerous features of the product and the prominent social bonding that takes place when you play the game, becomes the factor that nudges people to come back to it. Fully 3D printed and readily available, nothing is stopping you from taking a break and Aiming-it!

Bolsover - Stamp Your Trail

The aim of this project was to encourage tourists to explore more of the historic and cultural town of Bolsover. This was accomplished by taking the existing Bolsover town trail and reworking it to be more engaging and visually captivating by incorporating interactive history retelling with modern collectable trends. The passports are used both as a stamp collecting sheet and as a means of wayfinding across different historic spots. The podium becomes a marker signifying the location, it was designed to resemble a castle and built entirely using limestone (historically used material for buildings in Bolsover)- adding to the historic storytelling throughout the trail.
