Hi, I’m Freya. I’m a product designer who has always believed that great design isn't about catering to a target market but about understanding the real needs of the person actually holding the product. My design thinking is deeply shaped by my travels, where observing diverse lifestyles firsthand taught me that true innovation lies in the unique details of personal experience. I love taking those inspirations back to the studio to uncover a specific human need and getting hands-on to bring a physical concept to life. I’m driven by the challenge of turning individual stories into thoughtful, functional design.

LINEA: Linea of Life

Engineered for the rigorous demands of the NHS, LINEA is a standardised system designed to bring order to the clinical complexities of bedside care. By securely organising medical lines, catheters and monitoring leads, it actively reduces clinical risk. LINEA distinguishes itself through an accessible design language like tactile icons and a distinct colour-coding system to allow for immediate, error-free line identification. Lines and leads are held by a wave-slot design to maintain optimal tube tension without occluding fluid flow. It’s supported by a dual-axle mounting system that adapts seamlessly to both IV poles and bed frames. LINEA is a viable solution that improves patient safety, saves valuable nursing hours, and alleviates anxiety for patients and their families.

HATTi is a tactile learning tool designed to simplify educational technology for children. Born from a redesign of the ‘KITT’ robot, HATTi replaces over-complexity with purposeful, child-centred interaction. The goal with HATTi was to strip away the noise and focus on what children actually respond to: textile, playful and safe interaction. By utilising RFDI-enabled hats for personalised learning and intuitive physical controls like clickable arms for volume and scrolling along with an integrated camera for independent work. HATTi moves away from generic education tech to offer a more grounded, accessible experience for students.
